Chair, Charity Digital
Voluntary role
Charity Digital exists to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of charities across the UK by enhancing their digital capability, confidence, and access to affordable digital tools. We believe that digital technologies are the not-for-profit sector’s key to making an even bigger impact.
For over twenty-five years, we have helped charities make the most of digital and technology, and we are hugely proud of the impact we deliver.
As the landscape in which our sector operates evolves, we too have needed to recast our model and approach. We have rebuilt strong foundations, and we’re now focused on growth, sustainability and deepening our impact. Our culture is respectful, and underpinned by strong personal accountability and high-quality governance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
