Location: Based primarily at our Ealing practice, with travel to other sites across London
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week, 08:30–17:30, with an hour for lunch
Contract: A defined 3-6 month mandate, £55-65k (depending on experience) pro-rata, with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent member of staff.
About the Role
Ealing Dental Specialists is a dental and orthodontics group with four sites and more opening this year. The business is on an exciting growth trajectory and facing lots of exciting challenges that growth brings: processes that exist but aren't fully documented, ways of working that differ from site to site, and a backlog of improvement projects that the current team lacks the bandwidth to run end-to-end. Several of these projects are commercially sensitive, including how we track private patient revenue, how associates are paid, how we control what we spend and we are looking to make changes at speed.
Who This Role Will Suit
This is a chance to drive real change and see it all the way through. The gap between analysis and implementation here is minimal: you'll map a process, redesign it, and watch it running a fortnight later. You report to the COO, so decisions get made in one conversation rather than a committee. For anyone who wants to lead operations in a growing group, this is a great opportunity to hone your skills.

- Process & Business Analysis: Map current-state workflows at each of the four sites and judge where sites genuinely need to differ versus where variation is just historical. Document standard operating procedures and a shared "way we work" playbook.
- Data & Reporting: Build a single, reliable view of the numbers - private patient revenue and conversion, associate pay, procurement spend - from data currently scattered across systems and spreadsheets.
- Financial & Operational Controls: Partner with finance on associate pay, payroll and procurement. Work each process through rigorously enough to surface errors, inconsistencies and control gaps, then design a cleaner one.
- Transformation & Change Management: Design a sequenced plan for bringing the four sites onto common processes. Build genuine buy-in with practice managers rather than imposing change top-down, and manage the challenges that come with asking people to change long-standing habits.
- Project Management & Handover: Own the current backlog and run each project end-to-end, with lightweight tracking so leadership has visibility without having to manage it. Leave documentation and processes the practices can own and build on.
What We're Looking For
- Proven Business Analysis Experience: Process mapping, requirements gathering, running stakeholder interviews. A track record of leading operational change in a multi-site business (dental or wider healthcare experience is a plus, not a requirement).
- Strong with Financial and Numerical Detail: You'll be expected to interrogate the numbers, not merely report them, and to build reports people will actually use internally.
- Financial Literacy: Direct exposure to payroll, commission or self-employed pay structures, or procurement controls is a strong advantage.
- E2E Project Management: A track record of taking projects from scoping through planning, delivery and handover - and completing them, noting that you'll be running several at once with minimal oversight.
- Sound Judgement on Confidentiality: The role has access to commercially sensitive information and to systems holding patient data, so the appointment is subject to a DBS check and to our data-protection obligations.
- Strong Stakeholder Management: Able to get buy-in from site managers and clinicians without having formal authority over them, and comfortable creating structure where none exists.
