About Aberdeen

Aberdeen plc is one of Europe’s largest investment companies, and we are built on a long-standing culture of caring about the future and making a positive impact. Together we invest for a better future. We do it to make a difference to the lives of our clients and customers, our employees, society, and our shareholders. Our business is structured around three distinct areas focused on our clients' changing needs: Aberdeen Investments, Aberdeen Adviser, and interactive investor.

About The Department

The Corporate Tribe delivers change across Aberdeen’s corporate functions, helping teams operate effectively, manage risk and meet regulatory obligations. Working closely with Finance, HR, Technology and business stakeholders, the team turns strategic priorities into practical outcomes. Collaboration, continuous improvement and delivery excellence are central to how the team works.

About The Role

Based in Edinburgh, this permanent Change Business Analyst role sits within the Corporate Tribe and focuses on delivering change across corporate functions, particularly Finance and HR. You will shape business problems into clear requirements, decisions and delivery-ready outcomes, working with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, technology teams and third-party providers. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on how critical business functions operate while developing your expertise in a fast-paced financial services environment. Through complex transformation and operational change initiatives, you will invest in your tomorrow by building deep business analysis and stakeholder management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis activities from discovery and problem definition through to delivery support.
  • Elicit, analyse and document requirements, business rules, acceptance criteria, process impacts and operating model considerations.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions, driving clarity on priorities, decisions, risks and dependencies.
  • Assess impacts across Finance, HR, Technology, Data, Risk, Procurement and third-party providers.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, governance activities and delivery readiness.
  • Ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clear, prioritised, testable and aligned to business outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
