Business Change Lead – Contract - Need SC
Location: North West – Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)
Contract: Initial engagement until January, with strong potential for extension (+1 year)
Day Rate: £500 Inside
Start: Late October / ASAP
I'm working with a leading technology consultancy that's building out a team to support a major digital transformation programme within a complex engineering and manufacturing environment.
They're looking for an experienced Business Change Lead to take ownership of the people, process and adoption side of a significant technology transformation.
The technology has already been implemented. The challenge now is ensuring the business, its people and its ways of working successfully adapt to it.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be producing change documentation. You'll be working directly with operational teams, senior stakeholders and potentially trade unions, helping rebuild confidence, overcome resistance and embed meaningful, lasting change.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading business change and adoption activities across a complex technology transformation programme.
- Engaging with operational teams, senior stakeholders and union representatives to understand concerns and build confidence.
- Assessing existing ways of working, defining future-state processes and supporting their adoption.
- Identifying barriers to change and developing practical strategies to overcome them.
- Supporting communications, training, business readiness and user adoption.
- Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure technology and business processes are aligned.
- Building credibility quickly within a challenging stakeholder environment and delivering tangible improvements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
