Change Manager
Contract: 6 months, 1 September 2026 to 1 March 2027
Rate: Up to £480 per day Umbrella
Location: Dependent on project/customer requirements
We are looking for an experienced Change Manager to support technology and transformation programmes across a range of complex customer environments. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on ensuring new technology, services and ways of working are successfully adopted and embedded across the business. You will work closely with project teams, operational stakeholders and end users to integrate change activity into wider programme delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end business change and adoption activities across technology and transformation projects
- Develop and maintain change plans, change impact assessments and stakeholder engagement plans
- Assess how technology and process changes will impact different user and business groups
- Develop communications, training and business readiness activities
- Engage directly with operational teams, managers and end users
- Facilitate workshops, briefings and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Identify and manage resistance, skills gaps, change saturation and other adoption risks
- Track business readiness and adoption, recommending corrective actions where required
- Work closely with Project Managers, PMO, technical teams and training leads
- Support transition into BAU and benefits realisation
- Provide structured reporting on change progress, risks and outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of change management tools, templates and approaches

What we are looking for
- Strong experience delivering business change within technology, digital or organisational transformation programmes
- Hands-on experience creating and executing change plans and change impact assessments
- Strong stakeholder analysis and engagement experience
- Experience supporting communications, training, readiness and user adoption
- Ability to translate technical change into clear business impacts
- Experience working alongside technical and project delivery teams
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong workshop facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within complex stakeholder environments

Desirable
- Experience within regulated or complex public/private sector environments
- Change Management certification, such as Prosci
- Experience measuring adoption and business readiness
- Experience supporting large-scale IT or digital transformation programmes
This role would suit a practical Change Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of change activities and working directly with stakeholders to ensure technology and transformation initiatives deliver sustainable adoption.
