SC Cleared Change Manager Contract - Outside IR35

- The Rate - Up to £650 per day
- IR35 Status - Outside IR35
- The Location - Berkshire
- The Working Pattern - 3 days per week on site
- Duration - 12 months
- Security Clearance - Active SC Clearance required, willingness to undergo DV Clearance
About the Client
Digital Skills are working with a Defence Organisation undertaking a major transformation programme across its finance function. The client is currently implementing SAP S/4HANA as part of a major Finance System transformation to modernise processes and improve operational efficiency.
About the Role
This role will play a key part in ensuring the successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA across the finance division. You will focus on assessing organisational impact, shaping change strategies, and supporting the business through the transition into the testing and delivery phases of the programme.
The successful candidate must have previous hands-on experience delivering change management within SAP S/4HANA implementations or transformation programmes, ideally within a finance environment.

- Assess and analyse the organisational impact of the SAP S/4HANA implementation
- Engage with finance stakeholders to understand current processes and future-state requirements
- Develop and deliver change management strategies aligned with SAP S/4HANA programme milestones
- Support the transition from high-level design into SIT (System Integration Testing) phase
- Identify risks and challenges associated with business change, SAP S/4HANA adoption and process transformation
- Produce impact assessments, communication plans and readiness assessments
- Support training planning and business readiness activities
- Work closely with programme teams, including delivery, testing, and functional SMEs
- Support the business through the transition from existing finance processes and systems to SAP S/4HANA
Desired Skills and Experience
Mandatory:
- Proven Change Management experience within SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programmes
- Proven experience as a Change Manager on large-scale ERP or finance transformation programmes
- Strong practical understanding of SAP S/4HANA and its impact on finance processes and business operations
- Strong experience working with Finance teams and/or finance systems
- Ability to assess business processes and identify downstream impacts of SAP S/4HANA changes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly within complex organisations
- Experience working within Defence or secure environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of change frameworks, methodologies, and governance
- Experience supporting SIT, testing, training and business readiness activities
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Active SC Clearance and willingness to undergo DV Clearance

Summary of the Best Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Change Manager with proven SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation experience, ideally within a finance function. You will be confident in assessing organisational impact, engaging senior stakeholders, and driving structured change throughout an ERP transformation programme.
A strong understanding of how SAP S/4HANA impacts finance processes, systems and business operations is essential. Experience in Defence or similarly regulated and secure sectors will be highly beneficial, alongside a pragmatic and delivery-focused approach.
SAP S/4HANA experience is a mandatory requirement for this position.
