Change Manager

Contract - 12 months
Essex - 2 days per week onsite
£500-£550 per day (inside IR35)

We're looking for an experienced Change Manager to lead the change activities on a finance systems migration from eFinancials (OneAdvanced) to a new finance system within a public sector organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist subject matter expertise, thought leadership, practical advice, and guidance to the programme and functional leadership team, ensuring alignment between change initiatives and programme outcomes.
  • Present, explain, motivate, engage, influence, persuade and challenge at all levels. Embed a relational and people-centred approach to change by fostering a culture of challenge, support, and values-led change and transformation.
  • Deliver practical and impactful change solutions by transforming complex concepts, leveraging innovative thinking to lead change initiatives effectively, ensuring successful outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Support in the creation and implementation of an impactful change management strategy, including stakeholder engagement, communications, change impact and readiness assessments, training, and transitioning to BAU, to support complex and transformational change.
  • Work closely with key organisational leaders and stakeholders to analyse and manage the change landscape, ensuring effective prioritisation and management of change.
  • Evaluate the impact of change initiatives, measuring key performance indicators and providing recommendations for continuous improvement and refinement of organisational processes.

  • Proven experience in change management, with expertise in owning and defining change management strategies and plans.
  • Experience in delivering change in complex public sector environments.
  • Proven experience in leading on the change communications strategy.
  • Ability to assess change readiness, identify risks and challenges, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Outstanding stakeholder communication and engagement skills.
  • Experience with the Prosci Adkar model.
