The Change Manager Opportunity

Crown House Technologies (CHt), the specialist MEP delivery business of Laing O'Rourke, is seeking an experienced Change Manager to join the team delivering Hinkley Point C.

You'll take responsibility for managing change across a £175m MEP package, working closely with project leadership, commercial and operational teams, the client and supply chain to ensure change is identified, assessed, agreed and effectively implemented.

What will the Change Manager role look like?

  • Lead the management of change across your allocated package or area of responsibility.
  • Identify, assess and manage change, ensuring impacts on cost, programme, scope and delivery are understood.
  • Manage change control processes, registers, approvals and reporting.
  • Work closely with commercial and project teams to develop and agree change.
  • Manage change with clients, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging risks and opportunities and ensure these are appropriately managed.
  • Prepare change reports and provide clear commercial and project insight to senior leadership.
  • Support the resolution of change-related issues, claims and negotiations.
  • Ensure appropriate records and contractual documentation are maintained.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of change management processes across the project.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in a Change Manager or similar role within major construction, MEP, engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of change management, change control and contractual processes.
  • Experience managing change across complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand cost and programme impacts.
  • Experience working with NEC contracts would be highly desirable.
  • Experience within a highly regulated environment such as nuclear, energy, defence or major infrastructure would be desirable.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
