Job Title: Change & Transformation Communications Manager

Location: Warwick / Hybrid

Contract Type: 6 months with scope to extend

About The Role

Pontoon is an employment consultancy. We put expertise, energy, and enthusiasm into improving everyone's chance of being part of the workplace. We respect and appreciate people of all ethnicities, generations, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, gender identities, and more. We do this by showcasing their talents, skills, and unique experience in an inclusive environment that helps them thrive.

We are seeking an experienced Change & Transformation Communications Manager to lead the development and delivery of communications strategies supporting major organisational transformation programmes.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you will play a key role in translating complex business change into clear, engaging, and strategic communications that help employees understand what is changing, why it matters, and how they contribute to successful delivery.

This is a highly strategic role rather than a tactical communications position. You will partner with senior leaders, transformation teams, HR, Digital, and business stakeholders to develop communications strategies that create alignment between organisational objectives, transformation programmes, and employee engagement.

The successful candidate will help bring multiple transformation initiatives together into a coherent communications narrative, ensuring colleagues have clear line-of-sight between business strategy, organisational change, and day-to-day communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the communications strategy, planning, and delivery for major organisational change and transformation programmes.
  • Develop integrated communication strategies that align transformation activity with wider organisational priorities and business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leaders, programme directors, and business stakeholders to provide strategic communications advice throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Create compelling transformation narratives that connect multiple initiatives into a consistent and engaging employee story.
  • Develop key messaging, leadership briefings, employee updates, FAQs, communication toolkits, and engagement campaigns.
  • Use audience insight, stakeholder mapping, and change impact assessments to tailor communication approaches for different employee groups.
  • Coordinate communications across multiple programmes, ensuring messaging is aligned, sequenced, and delivered through the most effective channels.
  • Collaborate with HR, Transformation, Digital, Corporate Affairs, and business teams to ensure communications support programme milestones and organisational priorities.
  • Identify communication risks, monitor employee sentiment, and recommend proactive interventions to improve understanding and engagement.
  • Build effective feedback mechanisms that capture employee insight and inform ongoing communication activity.
  • Measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns using engagement data, feedback, and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote best practice in change communications and contribute to the development of communications capability across the wider organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
