Overview

A Birmingham-based organisation is undergoing the integration of four businesses into a single organisation and is looking for an experienced Change & Organisation Design Consultant to support the people and organisational elements of the integration.

This is a hands-on delivery role, working closely with senior stakeholders to define how the combined organisation will operate, establish consistent people processes and embed new ways of working across an organisation of approximately 150 employees, with scope to flex as the integration develops.

The successful consultant will bring strong experience across organisation design, change implementation, people processes and post-merger integration, with the ability to move between strategy and detailed execution.

Hybrid working - largely remote working will be available. This is a daily rate consulting role (outside IR35). For further details, please apply using the link.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define roles, responsibilities and accountabilities across the 140-person organisation, with the ability to scale the framework as the organisation grows.
  • Review and develop the current and future organisational structure, supporting the transition from four businesses into a coherent operating model.
  • Lead a review of Reward & Recognition, identifying opportunities to establish appropriate and consistent approaches across the combined organisation.
  • Review and develop the appraisal / performance management framework, including standards, processes and expectations.
  • Establish consistent onboarding and offboarding standards across the newly integrated organisation.
  • Facilitate and define key people and business processes, ensuring they are clear, practical and fit for the future organisation.
  • Develop and embed new ways of working, supporting teams through the transition and helping establish a common organisational culture.
  • Create an Integration (People) Playbook setting out the frameworks, processes, standards and approaches required to integrate future acquisitions or businesses.
  • Facilitate workshops with leadership and employees to understand current practices, identify gaps and agree future-state approaches.
  • Support change leadership and stakeholder engagement, ensuring people understand what is changing, why it is changing and how it affects them.
  • Identify areas of duplication, inconsistency and ambiguity across the four businesses and develop practical solutions.
  • Provide hands-on support through implementation rather than operating solely in an advisory capacity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
