Job Title: Changing Room - Team Leader
Hourly Rate of Pay: £18.68
Position Type: Permanent
Employment Type: Full Time
Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 43 hours
Shift Pattern: 4 shift on 4 shifts off
Location: Sellafield, Seascale, Cumbria, England CA20 1PG
Job Overview
Supports the day-to-day delivery of services by leading and coordinating a team to achieve operational, quality, safety, and customer service standards. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Team Leader provides first-line support and guidance to team members, allocates work activities, monitors performance, and assists in resolving operational issues to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the service.
Main Duties
- Proactively deal with queries, providing feedback and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Report all incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions at the earliest opportunity.
- Deliver regular team briefings and engage with employees to identify, address, and escalate issues.
- Support the Supervisor in carrying out workforce audits and assurance activities.
- Attend and actively participate in training, development, and appraisal activities.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members to develop their skills and achieve required competencies and SQEP standards.
- Assist management and Supervisors with reasonable requests and additional duties appropriate to the role.
- Monitor daily performance and workload to ensure service standards are achieved.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company and site procedures.
- Demonstrate sound judgement, quick thinking, and practical decision-making to support operational delivery.

What we are looking for
- Drivers license preferable.
- Proven experience of leading, guiding, or coordinating a small team within an operational, customer service, or administrative environment.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and support team members to achieve performance and development objectives.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff and supervisors.
- Ability to identify issues, make informed decisions, and implement practical solutions.
- Good attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting, quality checks, and documentation.
- Competent in the use of IT systems, reporting tools, and communication platforms, with a willingness to undertake further training as required.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet service delivery requirements.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and customer service.
