Channel Manager (Marketplaces)

Salary: 40 – 45k (Neg)
Location: Leeds (Remote working potentially available)

Role Summary

We are seeking a commercially driven, analytically minded Channel Manager to own and grow our online marketplace revenue streams. This role will lead the day-to-day and strategic management of platforms such as Wayfair, Amazon, and other similar.

You will ensure listings are optimized, promotional activity is aligned, and channel performance is reported and improved continuously. This is a pivotal role that interfaces across departments and plays a key part in sales growth.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Services to ensure optimized listings, accurate data, aligned promotional activity, and channel profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Management

  • Manage and optimize product listings, content, and range on Wayfair, Amazon, and other partner platforms.
  • Work with marketing to create A+ content, Brand Store pages, and enhanced product listings.

Commercial Ownership

  • Own marketplace revenue and margin performance; forecast, track, and report on KPIs by platform and SKU.
  • Align promotional calendars and trading strategy with broader commercial and seasonal activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on pricing, stock planning, packaging requirements, and commercial opportunities.
  • Monitor platform fees, advertising ROI, and profitability by channel.

Performance Optimisation

  • Manage Amazon PPC (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands) and continuously optimize ROAS.
  • Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and category analysis to inform listings, positioning, and promotional levers.
  • Develop and manage product review generation strategies to build social proof and conversion performance across marketplaces.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with operations teams to maintain stock accuracy, ensure listing availability, and manage FBA replenishment.
  • Work with product and quality teams to ensure all listings meet required standards, accreditations, and compliance needs.
  • Feed insights into new product development.

Strategic Development

  • Shape the roadmap for marketplace growth, including compliance, content strategy, inventory workflows, and international scalability.
  • Identify and evaluate new marketplace opportunities that align with product and commercial strategy.

Key KPIs

  • Channel revenue and growth vs. target (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Amazon 3P account health (Buy Box, IPI score, FBA availability)
  • Listing health, accuracy, and content quality
  • Conversion rate and ROI of channel promotions and Amazon Search PPC
  • Customer feedback score and return rate
  • Platform-specific margin performance

Experience & Skills Required

Must-Have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing online marketplace channels, including Wayfair and Amazon Seller / Vendor.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing pricing, margins, and promotional calendars.
  • Proficient in data analysis using Excel/Google Sheets; confident in interpreting platform analytics.
  • Experience optimizing listings and product data in accordance with best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple platforms, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across internal teams and external contacts.
  • Hands-on experience launching/running a new Amazon Seller Central account (UK or EU) and Wayfair

  • Marketing & Content: for brand assets, listing visuals, and campaigns.
  • Customer Service: for feedback loops and platform rating performance.
  • Operations: for stock planning, fulfillment, and FBA setup.
