Channel Sales Leader

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Channel Sales leader to lead our integrated SME and Bespoke Half-Hourly Channel Sales team. Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, you will be accountable for delivering profitable acquisition, renewals and partner growth through a single, high-performing Channel operating model. Leading a team of three Channel Development Managers and two Account Managers, you will own Channel strategy, TPI segmentation, portfolio allocation, revenue, contracted gross margin, live-rate performance, forecasting and overall team performance.

This is a highly collaborative leadership role, working closely with Sales Operations, Commercial, Product, Marketing and Operations to maximise partner value and deliver sustainable growth. You will build strong relationships with strategic TPIs, ensure effective account and opportunity management, and drive a culture of accountability, commercial focus and high performance. You will also play a key role in developing team capability, strengthening governance and sales quality, and ensuring the Channel remains responsive to market opportunities and partner needs.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • Proven leadership experience in channel, partner or B2B sales, with a track record of delivering revenue, acquisition, renewal and contracted gross-margin targets;
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience managing senior partner/TPI relationships and driving profitable growth, retention and share-of-wallet;
  • Demonstrable experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing sales teams, with a focus on accountability, capability and continuous improvement;
  • Strong understanding of partner segmentation, account planning, pipeline management and forecasting, with the ability to turn strategy into measurable sales outcomes;
  • UK business energy and TPI market experience strongly preferred, alongside confidence using Salesforce/CRM and sales performance data to drive decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
