Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader to join our Day Surgery Theatres at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline, leading The Ophthalmology team. There are 6 elective theatres, 2 Ophthalmology theatres, Procedure room and a recovery suite.
Responsibilities
The post holder will provide professional and clinical support to the SCN and will have delegated responsibility from the Clinical Lead for planning and implementing patient-centred care, and for ensuring the standards of care are implemented within the operating department.
Requirements
- Theatre experience at senior band 5 level or above.
- Ophthalmology experience.
- First Level Registration with either NMC or HCPC.
- Educated to degree level or working towards or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Team working and building skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to work using own initiative.
