Mitie Landscapes - Grounds Maintenance Operative Opportunity
Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UK's market-leading facilities management company. Reporting to the Line Manager, you will be delivering Grounds Maintenance and Winter Services and ensuring you deliver the exceptional every day.

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- PA1 & PA6 spraying licence
- Grounds Maintenance and Gritting experience
Responsibilities
- Maintaining our clients' sites. Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, and spraying.
- Delivering our winter services, including gritting and snow clearance.
- Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
- Operating all vehicles, machinery, and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Undertaking training as and when required.
- Use our smartphone-based operating system to report work activity.
- Responding quickly to requests for additional support.
- Working strictly in accordance with Health and Safety instructions.
- Complete Training and Toolbox talks with operatives.
- Complete vehicle inspections and audits.
- Work with the team to manage and complete work on the WIP.
- Willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Access active areas for work.
- Work on various areas of the contract.
- Motivate the teams and ensure work is delivered to the highest standard possible.
- Assist with chemical inventories and chemical logs.
- Complete any training deemed relevant to the role.
- Ensure all operatives are working safely with adequate PPE.
- Assist with documentation and supervision of the operatives on site.
- Work with innovation and technology to drive improvements and efficiencies.
- Attend meetings as and when requested.
- Stand in for Supervisors as and when required.
