At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

Electricity Transmission Division
We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. We are the only Overhead Lines Transmission provider supporting 3 major UK Transmission Frameworks over the next 12-year period; National Grid (Great Grid Upgrade Project - GGP), SPEN and SSE.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee gangs/crews involved in installing, repairing, or maintaining overhead lines.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with project and statutory requirements.
- You’ll implement and enforce health & safety procedures and conduct toolbox talks and ensure mandatory PPE is worn.
- Identify and report hazards, carrying out risk assessments as required.
- You’ll inspect workmanship to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Report defects or issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.

What you’ll bring;
- Previous demonstrable experience working with high-voltage towers (132-400kV)
- Client authorisation (NG, SPEN, NGED & SSE)
- Experience supervising or leading a small team or gang on site
- Working at height experience
- Experience completing necessary paperwork (e.g. timesheets, site diaries)
- Proven track record of working with different configurations of conductor and conductor types
- Flexible approach to work and must be willing to work anywhere in the UK, so full UK Drivers Licence is needed
