CHARITY RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
COMPETITIVE SALARY | DISCRETIONARY BONUS | BATH | HYBRID | STUDY SUPPORT
A rare and compelling opportunity to join one of the most ambitious and fast-growing independent wealth management businesses in the Southwest in a newly created Charity Relationship Manager role.
Our client is a specialist wealth management firm based in Bath, founded by highly experienced and senior people in the industry. The firm is growing quickly and this hire has been created to take ownership of the day-to-day relationship management of an established and growing charity client book, freeing the Managing Director to focus on winning the next wave of significant mandates. You will be the face of the firm to clients/trustees, leading quarterly and half-year reporting cycles, presenting at trustee and investment committee meetings, and being the person charity clients know and trust between formal reviews.
The role:
- Own the day-to-day relationship management of the charity client book, acting as the primary point of contact for trustees
- Lead quarterly and half-year reporting cycles, present at trustee and investment committee meetings, and run routine client reviews
- Coordinate delivery with the wider investment team across review packs, statements of investment policy, drawdown and spending frameworks, and manager monitoring
- Onboard new mandates as they are won
- Support business development activity including pitch preparation, tender documents, and attending alongside the Managing Director
- Build a presence in the charity investment sector through events and professional connections

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
