About Chorlton Good Neighbours
Chorlton Good Neighbours is a local charity supporting people aged 65+ in the Chorlton and Whalley Range areas. We provide a range of activities, services and events designed to help older people stay socially connected, physically active and involved in their local community.
We are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Charity Administrator to join our small team and play an important role in the day-to-day running of the charity.
About the role
Working closely with the Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of Chorlton Good Neighbours. This is a varied and hands-on role, combining various administration and office duties with supporting our activities, services and events. You will also be a friendly and welcoming point of contact for our service users, volunteers and members of the public.
As a small organisation, everyone has an important role to play, and we are looking for someone who is happy to get involved, use their initiative and take responsibility. You will also have the opportunity to play a part in shaping the future development of the charity.
Key responsibilities at a glance
The role will include providing day-to-day office and administrative support, including responding to telephone and email enquiries, maintaining records, managing rotas and handling payments. You will also support the charity’s activities, services and events, including coordinating practical arrangements and helping out when volunteer support is unavailable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
