About the Role
The team audits, advises, and supports a diverse range of charities and NFPs including; membership bodies, dynamic social enterprises, international NGOs, Arts & Culture charities, academies, care homes, religious orders, and more.

What You'll Do at Work
To act as an apprentice auditor in the Charity Team, working with a wide range of not-for-profit organisations:
- Carry out all audit work, including visiting client sites mainly in and around London and Greater London
- Keep Seniors, Managers, and Partners informed of the progress of the team’s jobs
- Budget for your time and keep costs within budget wherever possible
- For smaller assignments, plan and complete the audit file as per the Audit Completion Checklist

What You'll Learn
Course Contents
- Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries.
- Record and analyse financial data using the organisation’s standard tools and processes.
- Apply double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards to process financial documents, generate financial statements, and report financial information to users of accounts.
- Assist with production of accurate financial information for the preparation of accounts.
- Reconcile financial data, such as, preparation of reconciliations or review of reconciliations.
- Investigate, resolve, or escalate transactional queries and errors within their remit as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- Communicate financial information in a way that non-finance stakeholders can interpret and understand.
- Utilise digital skills to present key financial information using finance and accounting software and applications.
- Use software packages to assist with basic accounting tasks in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
- Communicate using varying approaches and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.

Training Schedule
Apprentices will work towards a level 3 AAT Assistant accountant apprenticeship, which awards an AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
We go above and beyond for our clients, but also for you. We have a genuine commitment to your development, offering you a closely supported and structured programme of tuition, provided by a top firm of external tutors. Internally, you’ll be supported by a manager who will act as your mentor, a buddy, partners, senior staff, and a dedicated Learning & Development team.
As a single-office practice, you will get to know everybody in the Firm and have the opportunity to shine from day one. As you progress through your training, you will receive incremental salary increases as you hit various milestones in your qualification.
