Charity Finance Manager - Winchester
Up to £55,000
Full-time - Hybrid
6-month FTC
1to1 Group is partnering with the Royal Logistic Corps Charity in Winchester to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial operations, governance, and strategic decision-making. We are seeking an individual with strong technical accounting expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day finances of the charity and associated funds
- Monitor income, expenditure, investments, and reserves.
- Oversee cash flow, banking arrangements, and financial controls.
- Maintain accurate financial records and audit trails.
- Ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements, accounting standards, HMRC regulations, and relevant governance frameworks.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Act as a trusted adviser to trustees and senior stakeholders.
- Prepare financial reports and papers for trustee meetings.
- Develop forecasting models and management information.
- Assess the financial impact of new initiatives and projects.
- Oversee funding related to welfare initiatives, veteran support, sporting activities, heritage projects, events, and other charitable programmes.

Knowledge and Experience:
- AAT qualified, part-qualified, qualified, or chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience managing financial accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of charity finance and governance requirements.
- Experience using financial ledger systems such as Sage.
- Experience working within the charity, public sector, military, or not-for-profit environment.
- Experience presenting financial information to boards, trustees, or senior leadership teams.
