Customer Account Manager

We are an impact startup, active in the charity retail space, growing fast and looking to hire a Customer Account Manager. Product Managers and Salespeople with technical experience are also warmly invited to apply, as this is likely to be a familiar role.

A Little About Minimist

We’re a group of techies and charity retail folks all about helping people who help people. Our software enables charities to easily price, measure, list and fulfill items using AI, driving significant revenue growth for charities to raise funds for their causes. Imagine volunteers listing confidently on eBay & Vinted with just a few taps!

We have a growing group of 30+ charity customers across the UK, Ireland and Australia, and have a large pipeline of incoming customers that we want to provide amazing support and attention to.

We are looking for a specific person who thrives in working directly with charities, feels comfortable in the backoffice/warehouse or shop floor, and is excited about making a really good software product. It is critically important that you understand the world of charity retail and the unique culture inside it. You’ll also have a chance to upskill technically, learn more about AI and “new ways of working”.

This Means You:

• Thrive working directly with customers - you must be patient with people and industries who may be slow or not tech-savvy, and be comfortable in a challenging tech environment - you’ll be implementing rather advanced AI solutions with older hardware/tech, patchy internet and people who perhaps dislike software or change. Previous experience in the charity retail sector and/or a direct customer-facing sales or support role is highly desirable.
• Have some technical ability - we’re not expecting you to code, but we’re looking for someone who really likes tech and is excited about learning about lots of different features of a software tool, and comes up with ways to improve it. If you’re the person that your family calls to help them with their IT issues - you’re probably already well qualified here :)
• Love product building - you will bridge the gap between our engineering team and the customer: you are also a bit of a product manager. For more complicated features and issues that you don’t solve yourself at the frontline, you will need to clearly document the user’s needs and get creative in designing a UX or solution, as part of a bigger engineering team.
• Be OK with a non-corporate environment, where we make decisions quite quickly, and break things fast. You must be autonomous, self-starting and comfortable with the startup pace as employee #8 in an agentic-first company.
