Who are Fair Ways and what do we stand for?
At Fair Ways, we believe in making a difference through passionate care, support and education. Together, we aim to build an organisation that makes a lasting difference to society and leaves a legacy greater than ourselves and our individual contributions.
Our values sit at the heart of everything we do. We measure our wealth by the difference we make, rather than the profit we make.
Fair Ways is a leading children's services charity based in the Solent, delivering Fostering, Education, Residential and Family Services. We support over 400 children, young people, families and vulnerable adults each year.
We are now seeking new Trustees to join our Board and help shape the future direction of Fair Ways.
Inclusion and Diversity
We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming organisation where everyone feels valued, respected and able to be themselves. We believe that a diverse Board strengthens our organisation, broadens our perspective and helps us better understand and support the communities we serve.
We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
