Role Overview
We're looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead finance across our group entities. You'll own statutory accounts, tax filings, consolidation and management reporting, while keeping us compliant with HMRC and Companies House. This role suits someone hands-on in the numbers who can also support leadership with clear financial insight.
Responsibilities
- Statutory Accounts: Prepare UK statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
- Month-End Close: Lead month-end close and monthly management accounts.
- Group Accounting: Manage multi-entity accounting and group consolidation.
- Cash Flow: Build and maintain cash flow forecasts.
- Budgeting: Own budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Xero: Run all entities on Xero, hands-on.
- Reporting: Prepare board and management reports.
- Compliance: Handle Companies House and HMRC filings, VAT returns and PAYE.
- Audit: Work with external auditors on year-end audits.

Requirements
- Qualification: Qualified CA or ACCA (mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 4–5 years in accounting/finance.
- UK Experience: Proven experience in UK statutory accounts and Corporation Tax.
- Standards: Strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS.
- UK Tax: Experience with VAT returns and PAYE/payroll compliance.
- Group Experience: Strong multi-entity, multi-currency and consolidation background.
- Xero: Hands-on Xero experience, ideally multi-entity.
- Reporting: Track record in board or management reporting.
- Advantage: Healthcare, pharmacy or regulated industry; EU VAT / OSS; UAE experience; e-commerce / D2C.
