An established and growing property and building consultancy is looking to appoint a fully qualified Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join its expanding London Building Consultancy team.
The business is experiencing continued growth both locally and nationally and is looking for an experienced Building Surveyor who can walk into the role and independently deliver professional Building Surveying instructions from day one.
This is a newly created position offering genuine scope for progression, with the level open from Associate through to Director, depending on experience.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a broad range of professional Building Surveying instructions, working directly with clients and providing technically robust advice and reporting.
The key requirement is someone with a strong professional services Building Surveying background, rather than a candidate whose experience is predominantly project management, facilities management, or operational delivery.
You will be expected to manage instructions independently, maintain client relationships, and help the wider team manage increasing workloads as the business continues to grow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
