We provide expert advice across Building Consultancy, Agency, Valuation, Property Management, Planning and Auctions, delivering practical solutions to a broad range of public and private sector clients.
Due to continued growth within our Building Consultancy team, we are looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Milton Keynes office. This is an excellent opportunity for an MRICS-qualified surveyor seeking greater responsibility, a varied workload and genuine career progression within a growing national consultancy.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering a wide range of professional and project-based Building Surveying services across commercial, industrial, education and public-sector properties throughout Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, the South East and beyond.
Working closely with both regional and national teams, you will be responsible for managing instructions from inception through to completion while developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering professional Building Surveying services to a diverse client base.
- Undertaking and reporting on building surveys and technical due diligence instructions.
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
- Acting as Contract Administrator on refurbishment and construction projects.
- Diagnosing building defects and providing practical, commercially focused advice.
- Preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations.
- Managing projects through all stages from inception to completion.
- Undertaking condition surveys and reinstatement cost assessments.
- Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, contractors and consultants.
- Developing and maintaining existing client relationships whilst identifying new business opportunities.
- Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors and APC candidates where appropriate.
- Contributing to the continued growth of the Milton Keynes Building Consultancy team.
About You
Essential
- MRICS qualified Chartered Building Surveyor.
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related RICS-accredited discipline.
- Proven experience delivering both professional and project-based Building Surveying services.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial property.
- Experience in contract administration and project delivery.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Strong client-facing and relationship management abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Right to work in the UK.

Desirable
- Experience working across commercial, industrial, education or public-sector property.
- Previous consultancy experience.
- Experience supporting APC candidates or junior surveyors.
- Business development and fee-earning experience.
