As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will undertake a varied role involving both professional and project-based surveying services across a broad range of sectors. You will work closely with clients, providing expert advice on building-related matters while managing projects from inception through to completion.

  • Residential developments and housing portfolios
  • Educational facilities
  • Healthcare buildings
  • Industrial and logistics properties
  • Leisure and hospitality schemes

  • Mixed-use developments

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Conducting building surveys and inspections
  • Preparing technical reports and dilapidations advice
  • Contract administration and project management
  • Managing refurbishment and improvement projects
  • Planned preventative maintenance surveys
  • Defect diagnosis and condition assessments
  • Party wall matters and statutory compliance advice
  • Building relationships with clients and stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • MRICS qualified
  • Previous experience delivering both professional and project surveying services
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, defects and maintenance
  • Experience acting as Contract Administrator on refurbishment and construction projects
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and build strong client relationships
  • Full UK driving licence
