Our client is an established international consultancy delivering project management, cost management and technical advisory services across the built environment. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor with NEC experience to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, industrial, public sector and infrastructure markets, supporting the successful delivery of complex developments.
Your new role
The successful candidate will undertake a combination of Building Surveying and NEC Supervisor responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards and client expectations.
- Undertake the duties of the NEC Supervisor under NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
- Carry out site inspections and quality assurance reviews on live projects.
- Monitor works to ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications and industry standards.
- Identify defects and non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Produce inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Cost Managers, Contractors and Clients.
- Provide technical building surveying advice throughout project delivery.
- Review contractor quality management processes and documentation.
- Support project governance, risk management and quality assurance activities.
- Attend project meetings and contribute to successful project outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
- MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor.
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Strong understanding of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
- Experience undertaking NEC Supervisor duties.
- Excellent knowledge of construction technology and quality control processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- NEC Accreditation or formal NEC training.
- Experience delivering infrastructure, energy, public sector or major capital projects.
- Project management experience.
- Additional professional memberships such as CIOB or APM.
