We’re working with an established UK wealth management business looking to appoint an ambitious Chartered Financial Planner to develop its presence across Chester, Wirral and South West Liverpool.

This is an opportunity for a commercially driven Financial Planner who enjoys building relationships, winning new clients and growing assets under management.

You’ll inherit a small portfolio of existing clients, but the primary focus of this role will be on generating new business, attracting new assets and building a substantial client book.

The opportunity

You’ll have the backing of an established wealth management business, with the freedom to develop your own network and build long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families and professional introducers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively generating new business and attracting new client assets.
  • Developing relationships with HNW individuals, families and business owners.
  • Building and maintaining a strong network of professional introducers, including accountants and solicitors.
  • Managing and developing a small portfolio of inherited clients.
  • Providing holistic financial planning and wealth management advice.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow assets under management through existing and new client relationships.
  • Developing the firm's presence across Chester, Wirral and South West Liverpool.

About you

We're looking for an experienced Financial Planner who:

  • Holds Chartered Financial Planner status.
  • Has a proven track record of generating new business and attracting client assets.
  • Is commercially minded, proactive and confident developing new relationships.
  • Has experience advising HNW individuals and families.
  • Has an established professional network or strong connections across the local market.
  • Enjoys the challenge of building and developing their own client portfolio.

It's an opportunity for an entrepreneurial Financial Planner who wants to take ownership of their growth, develop a substantial client portfolio and benefit from the infrastructure and support of an established wealth management business.

You'll inherit a handful of existing clients to provide an initial foundation, with the opportunity to build a much larger portfolio through new business development.

You will be competitively remunerated with basic and formulaic bonus based on reoccurring revenue as well as a fantastic company benefits package.
