Role Description

This full-time or part-time Chartered General Practice Valuer role is based in The City of Brighton and Hove. The role involves undertaking property inspections, preparing detailed valuation (lending and general Red Book) reports, and providing expert advice across residential and commercial assets.   • Liaising with estate agency and auction teams
  • Conducting market research
  • Analyzing comparable evidence
  • Ensuring valuations comply with relevant professional standards and regulations

The valuer will engage directly with clients, explain valuation outcomes clearly, respond to queries, and support transactions by providing timely and accurate professional input. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local market conditions and contributing to the firm’s overall client service and reputation.

Qualifications

  • Strong grounding in general practice valuations, with experience working alongside Estate Agents and related property professionals.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex valuation concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Proven Customer Service skills, demonstrating a client-focused approach and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Technical expertise in Real Estate Appraisal and Valuation, with the ability to produce accurate, compliant, and well-structured reports.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS chartered status or equivalent) and experience in general practice valuation.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and proficiency in using property and valuation software.
  • Good knowledge of local property markets in Brighton and Hove and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple instructions, and meet deadlines while maintaining high professional standards.
