A well-established and rapidly growing Structural Engineering Company located near Sevenoaks, operating across London, Kent and Essex is looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer at this pivotal stage of their growth.
We deliver engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects from residential new builds to complex industrial and infrastructure schemes. An immediate start is available for this position.

Responsibilities As Chartered Structural Engineer
- Producing structural calculations and design documentation for a range of structures including RC frames, steel frames, masonry, timber and hybrid systems.
- Carrying out analysis using industry software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, GSA, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis or equivalent).
- Managing design development from concept to construction.
- Undertaking structural assessments, surveys and reports for existing buildings including condition surveys and load-bearing investigations.
- Acting as a primary technical point of contact for clients.
- Coordinating with Architects, M and E Engineers and Planning Consultants to deliver coordinated designs.
- Attending design team meetings, site visits and client presentations.
- Acting as a named Designer under CDM 2015 regulations fulfilling all associated duties.
- Supervising work produced by Graduate and Technician-level staff.

We're Looking For a Chartered Structural Engineer With
- Extensive post-graduate experience in Structural Design within a UK consultancy environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience in managing projects unsupervised.
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software, strong hand calculation skills.
- Ability to use Tekla Structural Designer, ETABS, Robot, GSA or similar.
- Proficient in TEDDS or similar calculation management software.
- Experience of site visits and inspections.
- Must be a UK resident.
- Excellent English and communication skills. Must be confident in meeting and presenting to clients.

Desirable
- Experience in Temporary Works design or coordination to BS 5975.
- Working knowledge of SuDS and surface water drainage design.
- BIM / Revit experience or familiarity with a BIM Level 2 environment.
