Chartered Structural Engineer – Director Level
Central London - Hybrid, Highly Flexible
Permanent Role
Salary: Up to £110,000 + £7,700 car allowance + 20% bonus
I’m currently supporting a leading independent building consultancy with a Director-level appointment for an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer.
This is a senior Director-level opportunity, and the following are essential:
- Chartered Structural Engineer – MIStructE or MICE
- Proven experience leading complex structural engineering projects
- Experience acting as the primary client interface
- Broad structural engineering experience across new-build and refurbishment
- Significant experience in structural remediation and investigations
- Experience with fire, flooding, subsidence, structural defects and/or damage investigations
- Experience in structural surveys, defect investigations or forensic engineering
- Strong technical knowledge of structural analysis and engineering behaviour
- Proven technical leadership, mentoring and team development
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capability

About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior structural engineering professional to play a key role within an established and highly regarded building consultancy.
You will provide expert structural engineering advice across a diverse portfolio, including new-build developments, refurbishment, complex investigations, structural remediation and technical consultancy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading complex structural engineering projects from instruction through to completion
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
- Undertaking structural assessments, investigations and technical reviews
- Providing structural engineering consultancy advice to commercial developers and institutional investors
- Developing innovative solutions for structural remediation
- Overseeing structural surveys, defect investigations and forensic engineering assessments
- Producing high-quality technical reports and engineering advice
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and graduates
- Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Identifying business development opportunities and supporting business growth
- Representing the business through presentations, CPD seminars, technical papers and professional networking
