Walton-On-Thames

Are you a Chartered Structural Engineer looking to take full ownership of a team and play a key role in growing a consultancy, rather than waiting years for a leadership opportunity to arise?

On offer is the chance to step into a genuine leadership position where you'll lead an established Structural Engineering team, influence business strategy and help drive the practice towards larger and more complex projects, all whilst remaining heavily involved in technical engineering work.

This multidisciplinary consultancy provides Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Building Surveying services across London and the South East. Working on projects ranging from high-end residential developments and listed buildings through to commercial refurbishments, schools and community buildings, they offer a unique environment where engineers work closely alongside commercial and surveying teams to gain greater project influence and responsibility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
