Chassis Design Engineer
Rate: £55-65 per hour (Inside IR35)
37 hours per week - Condensed working week optional
6+ month assignment. On-site in Warwick
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Chassis Design Engineer to join a busy engineering team, working on the design and development of next-generation products.
The Role
- Design chassis structures and sheet metal components, from concept through to production.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and accurate 2D production drawings.
- Support production, investigate build and field issues, and deliver practical engineering solutions through the change process.
- Work closely with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality, cost and performance requirements.
- Contribute to validation, root-cause investigations and continuous product improvement.
- Apply a strong understanding of chassis systems and the integration of supplied components such as axles.

About You
- Experienced mechanical/design engineer with a strong practical and commercial engineering background.
- Experience in chassis design, sheet metal and/or fabrication.
- HGV, automotive, construction or agricultural equipment experience would be highly desirable.
- Proficient in 3D CAD and engineering drawings; Solid Edge experience is advantageous.
- Good understanding of materials, stress, fatigue, manufacturing and Design for Manufacture/Assembly.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (MEng/BEng, HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Hours: 37 hours per week - 08:00-16:30 Monday-Thursday and 08:00-13:00 Friday. A Monday-Thursday working pattern may also be considered.
