Salary Range: $16.48 - $21.41 Hourly

Position Overview:
Consistently provide a high level of customer service meeting the needs of the customer as well as the location. Assist in the daily operations of the department. Has or acquires the knowledge to efficiently complete the daily procedures needed for departmental success. Stocks, prepares, packages, and maintains product for specific areas for retail sales. Assist Supervisors when requested and/or required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Works in assigned department
- Stocks assigned areas with available product, minimizing empty shelf space and shrink
- Face accurately and neatly to maximize sales
- Rotate stock to ensure freshest products are available and to inspect for quality and out of date products
- Recognize the customers’ needs and take the initiative to react accordingly
- Maintain extensive product knowledge
- Exhibit teamwork by being flexible and dependable meeting the location and department needs
- Knowledge of money buying and deposit procedure, assisting as needed or requested (Front End and Service Desk specific)
- Answer, page, and transfer phone calls promptly and efficiently
- Remain productive without direct supervision
- Serve as a mentor to new staff in the department (for those with more years of experience)
- Re-train staff as needed or requested, following set training program
- Check Co-op email at least once per week
- Set standard for expected behavior in adhering to all food safety procedures
- Participate in department meetings and complete all required trainings for the purpose of maintaining Co-op standards
- Adhere to all Co-op policies, procedures and employee code of conduct
- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience and Attributes:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to represent the Co-op in a positive manner
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in ECRS POS system and processes
- Set an excellent example for new employees
- Proficiency in use of computer software, Office 365, Excel and Word
- Successful completion of Co-op customer service training
- Serve Safe certification acquired as needed
- Excellent follow through
Equipment Used:
Computer register, scanner, adding machines, computer, knives, box cutters, U-boats, carts, and phone system.
Attendance Requirements:
Flexible hours, including weekend and evening shifts. Availability to be scheduled to work any day of the week, according to department needs.
