Chef – Welwyn Garden City
Location: Welwyn Garden City, AL7 4DT
Salary: £33,280 per annum (£16.00 per hour)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Enhance Catering is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at a care home in Welwyn Garden City.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious meals and understands the important role that food plays in supporting the health and wellbeing of older people.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals, maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene, and ensuring residents enjoy a positive dining experience every day.
- You will also support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and take responsibility for its running in the Chef Manager's absence.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook within hospitality, healthcare or a care home environment
- A good understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen management
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards
- A Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (or be willing to obtain one)
- A genuine passion for preparing fresh food and delivering an excellent service
