BabTooma UK is a Yorkshire-based restaurant specializing in Halal Middle Eastern cuisine and has been serving guests since 2016. The restaurant is known for its warm Syrian hospitality and focus on fresh, flavorful dishes. BabTooma UK aims to provide an inviting dining experience where guests can enjoy authentic recipes in a welcoming atmosphere. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chef role based at BabTooma UK in Leeds. The Chef will prepare and cook Middle Eastern dishes to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and portion control. Daily responsibilities include organizing and maintaining the kitchen, managing food prep and stock rotation, and adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. The role involves coordinating with front-of-house staff, supporting menu development, and contributing to a positive, efficient team environment during busy service periods.

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally in Middle Eastern or similar cuisine, with strong skills in cooking, food preparation, and plating.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and Halal food practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage time and multiple orders, and maintain high quality during peak service.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Flexibility to work full-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Formal culinary training or relevant certificates in food hygiene and safety are beneficial.
  • Experience in menu development, portion control, and cost awareness is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to BabTooma UK’s recipes, standards, and hospitality culture.
  • Must have work permit.
