About Ashgrove Care Home
Ashgrove Care Home is a 49 bed, purpose built care home located in Hounslow, West London. Providing nursing and nursing dementia care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment with bright, accessible living spaces, inviting lounges, dining areas and a private garden. Colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.
Chef Contract
- £15.05 to £15.65 per hour
- Contracted to 19 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
No late evenings or split shifts, offering a consistent working pattern and genuine work life balance, alongside ongoing training and development opportunities.
Role Overview
As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.
- You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day.
- Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service.
- With no late evenings or split shifts, this role offers a strong work life balance while still allowing you to take pride in producing high quality food in a rewarding environment.

What We Are Looking For
- City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and reliable approach
