An exciting opportunity has arisen in our kitchen team and we are looking for a skilled chef with experience to join our team at Bettys Cafe Tearooms in Harrogate.
About the Role
As a Chef, you play a key role, working in the busy service kitchen/s and prep kitchen and be responsible for preparing delicious hot food e.g. Rosti, Kedgeree as part of a deliciously magical experience for every customer. You will enjoy working as part of a team, also working on other kitchen stations, alongside Catering Assistants, to prepare cold food and drinks.
You will report to one of the Catering Team Leaders, and when you are fully up and running in the role and training has been provided, occasionally you may be given the opportunity of stepping up to support the operation if they are absent or needed away from the floor, e.g. to organise breaks, open and close and ensure the relevant food safety and quality checks are completed.
Working Pattern
This is a Full Time role working 30 hours, 5 days over 7. We have a variety of shift patterns with start and finish times staggered throughout the day which is dependent on the opening hours of the branch. These shifts may include early mornings or evenings up to 11pm. You will be required to work at least one weekend day each week.
