Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef to join our team working at Dishforth Airfield near Thirsk, YO7 3EZ.
You will be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

What you’ll do:
Cooking and preparing food ready for breakfast, lunch and dinner services ensuring minimal wastage. Providing fine dining (silver service level) for functions/hospitality events. Working collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and acting as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks. Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records. Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence. Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

What we’re looking for:
Relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent). Excellent team player and communicator. A confident chef. Security checks and DBS required for this role. Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
