The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Chef Apprentice to join our talented Kitchen Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about food and hospitality who is eager to begin a professional culinary career. As a Chef Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced chefs, gaining hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards while working towards your professional development goals.
You will receive practical training across different kitchen sections, develop essential culinary skills, and play an important role in helping deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals who are committed to learning, have a positive attitude, and are excited to grow within a luxury hospitality environment.

What We're Looking For
The ideal Chef Apprentice will have:
- A genuine interest in cooking, food preparation, and hospitality.
- A strong desire to learn and develop professional culinary skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to take direction from experienced chefs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
As a Chef Apprentice, you will:
- Learn and assist with the preparation and cooking of food to hotel standards.
- Support the kitchen team with mise en place and daily food preparation tasks.
- Develop an understanding of different cooking methods, ingredients, and presentation techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen colleagues to support smooth service operations.
- Learn how to minimise food waste and contribute to sustainable kitchen practices.
- Participate in training activities and continuously develop knowledge and practical skills.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to personal growth throughout the apprenticeship programme.
