Chef / Cook (Residential & Nursing Homes)

Position: Temporary / Relief Chef or Cook

Pay Rate: £15.74 per hour (Paid weekly)

Location: Southport and surrounding areas

Hours: Flexible shifts managed via our smartphone app

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for talented Chefs and Cooks to join our MCL Resourcing family. In this role, you will provide excellent culinary skills to our clients within local Residential and Nursing Homes. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals to a high standard across various healthcare sites.

What You Need (Essential Requirements)

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of paid UK experience within a professional kitchen environment (employment references will be required).
  • Qualifications: A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or higher).
  • Compliance: An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to undergo one).
  • Legal Status: You must have the legal Right to Work in the UK.
  • Communication: A good standard of English with the ability to communicate effectively with care home staff and residents.
