Chef de Partie / Hospital Chef | Elland Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week
Spire Elland has a great opportunity for a Chef to come and join their busy catering department.
As Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering a first-class dining experience for our patients, staff, and visitors. You'll prepare and present nutritious, high-quality meals whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
Working closely with the Head Chef and wider hospitality team, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen and deputise when required.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors
- Supporting the delivery of specialist dietary requirements and nutritional needs
- Maintaining excellent standards of food presentation and service
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
- Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and kitchen administration
- Supporting catering for meetings and special events
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital

Who are we looking for?
We're keen to hear from chefs who are passionate about producing high-quality food and delivering excellent customer service.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a busy catering, hospitality, or healthcare environment
- Experience preparing meals for large numbers of people
- A Level 3 Food Safety qualification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive and flexible approach
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene
