Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chef De Partie role based in Southampton. The Chef De Partie will prepare, cook, and present menu items to company standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and speed of service in a busy street food environment. Responsibilities include managing a designated section of the kitchen, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and supporting stock control, mise en place, and waste reduction. The role involves collaborating with the Head Chef and wider team on menu execution, contributing ideas for specials, and helping train and support junior kitchen team members. The Chef De Partie will also assist with event preparation and setup, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for guests at festivals and catered events.

Qualifications

- Strong culinary skills, including experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices for safe food handling.
- Ability to manage a kitchen section independently, including mise en place, stock rotation, and portion control.
- Team-focused mindset with effective communication skills and the ability to support and mentor junior staff.
- High level of organization, reliability, and resilience when working under pressure during busy service and events.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules as required.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or professional training are beneficial.
- Experience in street food, casual dining, or event catering is an advantage.
