As a Chef de Partie in the Kitchen department, you will manage your assigned section under the guidance of the Senior Sous and Sous Chefs. You will prepare, cook, and plate dishes that showcase Straits Kitchen’s fusion of Western techniques and Southeast Asian flavours, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation. You will maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, and efficiency, assist in daily kitchen operations, and support the sous chefs in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards, ensuring consistency, flavour, and presentation that reflect Straits Kitchen’s fusion of Western techniques with Southeast Asian influences.
  • Oversee the operations of a specific kitchen section, managing workflow, timing, and coordination with other sections for smooth and efficient service.
  • Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality standards in taste, presentation, and consistency, with attention to detail and plating aesthetics.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation in your section, adhering to food safety regulations (HACCP) and internal brand standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, ingredients, and equipment in your section, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and minimal wastage.
  • Identify and report operational issues, equipment faults, or quality concerns to sous chefs.
