Join the Kitchen Team at 64 Goodge Street
64 Goodge Street is the newest restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group. Since opening in summer 2023, it has quickly established itself as one of London's most exciting restaurants, earning a Michelin star just 18 months after opening.
Led by Head Chef Stuart Andrew, formerly Executive Chef of Portland and Clipstone, the menu takes inspiration from his time cooking in Paris, offering French cuisine "from an outsider's perspective". Alongside warm, thoughtful hospitality led by General Manager Ashley Best and an ambitious wine list featuring an exceptional selection of Burgundy and mature vintages, 64 Goodge Street offers a unique dining experience built around exceptional seasonal ingredients.
We're looking for a talented and ambitious Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our Michelin-starred kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing chef who wants to refine their skills, work with outstanding produce and build a long-term career within one of London's most respected independent restaurant groups.

Alongside a competitive salary, you'll receive an excellent range of benefits, including:
- Bupa private health insurance

- Welcome lunch
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- Access to confidential mental health support
- Paid company sick leave
- Paid community volunteering days
- £1,000 employee referral bonus

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
