Are you passionate about food, drink and exceptional service? Would you like to join an award-winning hospitality team and still make it home for dinner? We're looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team at Royal College of Pathologists.

  • Salary: £35,542 per annum
  • Location: Royal College of Pathologists, 6 Alie Street, London E1 8QT
  • Shift Pattern: Predominantly Monday-Friday with occasional weekends, 40 hours per week (Period between Christmas and New Year off)

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all client and company Health & Safety procedures, including food safety standards, allergen regulations, and daily compliance checks.
  • Take ownership of a designated kitchen section, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and presentation standards.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with recipes, specifications, and portion controls.
  • Support the delivery of a varied event and hospitality offer, catering for up to 250 covers per day depending on event requirements.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants within your section.
  • Minimise waste through effective food handling, stock rotation, and correct storage procedures.
  • Assist with stock management, ordering, and inventory control to ensure service readiness.
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries in accordance with food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene across all kitchen areas.
  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment and machinery.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver seamless service across events, hospitality functions, and daily catering operations.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the efficient running of the kitchen and successful delivery of food service.
