The Running Horses is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our award-winning country pub in the heart of Mickleham.
Part of the Little & Large Pub Company, The Running Horses is a beautiful historic pub with seven bedrooms, a strong reputation for quality food and hospitality, and a busy mix of local guests, destination diners and weekend visitors.
We’re looking for a chef who genuinely cares about food, enjoys working with fresh ingredients and wants to be part of a kitchen that takes pride in producing consistently great dishes.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef and senior kitchen team to help deliver a high standard of food across lunch, dinner, Sunday service and events.

- Running your own section confidently during service
- Preparing and cooking dishes to the required standard
- Maintaining excellent food presentation and consistency
- Supporting junior members of the kitchen team
- Ensuring your section is organised, clean and ready for service
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Helping with stock rotation, deliveries and reducing food waste
- Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Contributing ideas towards specials and seasonal menu development
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to progress
- Is passionate about fresh, seasonal food
- Works calmly and efficiently during busy services
- Has strong attention to detail
- Takes pride in maintaining high kitchen standards
- Is reliable, punctual and a strong team player
- Wants to develop their skills and progress within a growing hospitality company
