About the Role

At Eastwood Park we are proud of the beautiful surroundings in which we work and want to make sure that lots of others get to enjoy this wonderful venue. We are looking for a Chef de Partie to work as part of the Country House kitchen team, assisting with the preparation of food for meal times and special functions.

Requirements

You will have a genuine passion for great food, a positive and proactive attitude, diligence and an organised approach to work. In addition, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience working in a role at a similar level, ideally in a hotel/events environment.
  • An ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room colleagues and guests.
  • A good understanding of COSHH and HACCP.

This role would be for 40 hours per week, covering 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Assuming there are no events scheduled, you will rarely work over the Christmas period and at quieter times throughout the year there will be occasions where you are not required to work the weekend.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
