Chef de Partie – Hotel, Chester

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join the brigade of a luxury hotel in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated chef looking to further their career within a high-quality hospitality environment.

Please note: This is a non-live-in position, therefore applicants must live within a commutable distance of Chester or have their own reliable transport.

THE ROLE

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your designated section and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service are consistently achieved. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences for hotel guests and restaurant diners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and maintaining your assigned section during service.
  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the hotel's high standards.
  • Ensuring all food is prepared in accordance with recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Supporting junior chefs with training, guidance, and development.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock rotation.
  • Minimising food waste and ensuring efficient use of ingredients.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade to deliver smooth service.
  • Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials when required.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of your section at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within a quality hotel, restaurant, or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fresh food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • High standards of food presentation and attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and strong team ethic.
  • Food Hygiene certification preferred.
  • Must be able to commute to Chester on a daily basis.
