Chef de Partie – Central London
Salary: £33,500 + overtime
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Location: Central London
Overtime: Paid at time and a half
We are recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie to join a prestigious hospitality and events operation in Central London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking to join a professional kitchen environment where you will work across a varied operation, including staff dining, corporate hospitality, formal dining, banqueting, and large-scale events.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will work as part of a talented kitchen brigade, rotating between sections approximately every four weeks. You will initially have a focus on hot and salad sections, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across a diverse range of food production.
The operation includes:
- Staff dining serving approximately 150–180 covers
- Daily lunch service including roasts, fish, and vegetarian options
- Fresh salad and cold food production
- Corporate hospitality and meeting-room catering
- Formal dining and breakfast service
- Large-scale banqueting
- Canapé production for events of several hundred guests
- Seasonal outdoor and event catering
- Private dining and external catering

Salary & Hours
- £33,500 basic salary
- 42.5 contracted hours per week
- 5 days out of 7
- Predominantly Monday to Friday
- Flexibility required for evenings and weekends during events
- All hours worked above 42.5 hours paid at time and a half
- Regular weekend overtime available
- Potential to earn an additional £5,000–£7,000+ per year through overtime

About You
We're looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie who:
- Has previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar position
- Has strong technical cooking skills
- Takes pride in food quality and presentation
- Can work effectively as part of a busy kitchen brigade
- Is comfortable working across different sections
- Has good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Is flexible and willing to support events and weekend services when required
- Is keen to develop and progress their career
